The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo
Want to have a great time with Girl Scouts young and old?!
Invite your moms, grandmas, cousins, aunts or neighbors.
The zoo opens at 9:00am
We will have Pavilion #2 in Franke Park from 1-6pm.
There will be a number of booths and events for the girls to participate in.
Cupcakes will also be available.
Cost is only $1.00 per person
You can purchase discount tickets for ADULTS = $15.00 and
CHILDREN 2-14 = $12.00, which includes your admission and two rides!
(Rides include: Train Ride, Sky Ride, Wild River Ride, or carousel).

Centennial Camporee 2012

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia has formed a partnership with the Georgia Garrison Training Center at Fort Stewart to host a National Camporee to celebrate the 100th Anniversary! The Camporee will hold a wide range of educational experiences and skill-building activities for girls as well as opportunities to experience the traditional activities that Girl Scouts have honed and enjoyed for nearly 100 years. All who attend this event will
connect with new camp mates from across
the United States and across the world!

2011 Girl Scout National Council Session
The Girl Scout National Council Session brings together the diverse membership of the organization once every three years. The next national session will be held in Houston, Texas, November 10-13, 2011.

The National Council of Girl Scouts of the USA consists of delegates elected by Girl Scout councils, delegates representing USA Girl Scouts Overseas, members of the National Board of Directors and the National Nominating Committee, past presidents of Girl Scouts of the USA, and other persons who may be elected by the National Council.
Delegates and alternates from our council will be elected at the Annual Meeting in South Bend, IN on April 30, 2011. More information about the National Council Session will be published as it is received from GSUSA. Get preliminary information now.

52nd National Council Session/2011 Convention
Convention Registration Fees:
Registration will open in February 2011.
Delegates and Official Visitors: Full access to National Council Session, Celebration Sessions (see description below), Strategic Conversations, Hall of Exhibits, and one complimentary
- Adults: $295 (early); $350 (late) educational/training session
- Girls: $225 (early); $275 (late) includes access to Girl Scout Leadership Institute (“GSLI”)
Celebration Sessions: Access to opening/closing ceremonies, keynote speakers, Young Women of Distinction, Strategic Conversations, Hall of Exhibits, and more; does not include access to the National Council Session
- Adults: $195 (early); $250 (late)
- Girls: Included in Girl Scout Leadership Institute fee (see below)
Girl Scout Leadership Institute: Access to all dedicated GSLI sessions and items included in Celebration Sessions (see description above). The GSLI registration fee includes materials and selected meals.
Thursday only GSLI sessions: $100 – includes access to Celebration Sessions taking place on Thursday only
- Girl Passport package: $150 – includes access to GSLI session on Thursday and all Celebration Sessions during the Convention (described above)
- Adult Chaperones: $195
- (Girls who are NCS Delegates or Official Visitors may also attend the GSLI program at no additional charge.)
Day passes: Full access to one specific day of National Council Session, Celebration Sessions, Strategic Conversations, and Hall of Exhibits

Throughout downtown Houston, rates ranging from $140-190, plus tax.

- Streamlined National Council Session (Business Meetings) to give delegates and official visitors more time to enjoy other convention activities designed to celebrate Girl Scouting and to motivate and reinvigorate attendees
- Inspirational celebration sessions that incorporate tried and true elements of the convention (opening and closing ceremonies, keynote speakers, and Young Women of Distinction, to name a few) as well as the official launch of Girl Scouts’ 100th Anniversary
- Strategic Conversations that engage and involve participants in a rich dialog that unites and inspires the Movement
- Girl Scout Leadership Institute, providing programming for girls on Thursday, November 10, as well as the opportunity for them to participate in other convention activities and strategic conversations throughout the entire week
- GSUSA booth in the Hall of Exhibits commemorating the first 100 years of the Girl Scout Movement and celebrating the next 100 years
- Educational and professional development opportunities for volunteers and Girl Scout Council staff members alike
- Community service project
- The NHPC looks forward to a History Conference celebrating 100 years of Girl Scouting
- Entertainment, surprises and FUN, including a special 100th Anniversary celebratory event
