2008 National Girl Scout Leadership Institute Opportunity
Girl Scouts who will be in grades 6-12 next fall and their
families should mark their calendars for a special leadership opportunity!
The 2008 National Girl Scout Leadership Institute (GSLI), formerly
known as Girl Congress, will be held October 29-30, 2008, in Indianapolis
prior to the National Convention/Council Session. More than 2,000
girls from across the nation will have opportunities to participate
in special sessions designed to hone their leadership skills and
enable them to discuss key health issues relevant to them.
The fee is $125 per participant. Girls may attend with a parent;
they do not need to attend as a troop. There will also be opportunities
for adults who attend as chaperones to take part in workshops for

2008 Convention in Indianapolis!
The state capital will be buzzing when on October 30-November
2, 2008, thousands of Girl Scouts from across the country come to
Indiana for the 2008 National Convention. The National Council Session
is held every 3 years and is a time when more than 10,000 Girl Scout
delegates, alternates, and visitors gather to conduct the business
of the national organization and to celebrate Girl Scouting. In
addition, a National Girl Scout Leadership Institute will be held
for girls in grades 6-12 on October 29-30, 2008. To learn more about
