Since 2004, Sophie Metzger has worked as an administrator in Higher Education with four years’ experience at the University of Dayton as a Campus Minister and two years as a rector of a residence hall at the University of Notre Dame. Sophie currently serves as the assistant director of Multicultural Affairs at Goshen College. In her current position, Sophie is responsible for outreach and retention of underrepresented college students. She accomplishes this goal through the development of leadership programs that invite students to become fully who they are through exploring their own ethnic identity. Sophie’s academic training is in Theology. Sophie is a graduate of St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas and has a Masters of Theological Studies degree from the University of Notre Dame.
Originally from Oklahoma, Sophie spent 3 years as a Girl Scout in the Red Rock Council.
