Community Camps


Whether it's your first summer as a Girl Scout or your fifth, our Community Camps are the perfect place to discover new experiences and connect with new friends!

While at camp, you'll try new things, challenge yourself and gain confidence as you sing songs, play games, make arts & crafts, and earn badges. Each camp is as unique as the volunteers or directors who run them!

Camp McMillen

McMillen Space Camp

Huntertown, IN
Monday, June 10 to Friday, June 14, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily

Explore space and sky through fun and engaging activities. Earn the new space-science badges. Join us for five days of fun! Register on time and receive a free T-shirt! Transportation in Fort Wayne area is provided for an additional $10 fee. 

Parent program will be Friday, June 14 at 3:30 p.m. Optional overnight Thursday.

Program Aide and Counselor in Training McMillen Space Camp

Huntertown, IN
Monday, June 10, 9 a.m. to Friday, June 14, 4 p.m. 

Girls will be teamed with younger girls to assist with and lead activities.

Prerequisites: Program Aides must earn Leadership in Action (LIA) and complete Program Aide (PA) training prior to camp.  Counselors In Training (CIT) must attend a Counselor in Training workshop. Responsibilities will be assigned based on age and previous experience.

All girls interested in Program Aide (PA) or Counselors in Training (CIT) will need to complete an Experience Verification Form. Space is limited for these leadership opportunities. Applications will be reviewed and PA/CIT/WIT’s will be selected based on experience and form answers. Applicants will be notified of selection and will be sent a registration link for camp. The PA/CIT/WIT application is now open. All applications are due by Friday, March 1. Notification of selection will be sent the week of March 18.

Pack your bags and get ready to travel on an exciting trip around the globe! Get your passport at check-in and travel the world without leaving camp. Discover exciting things about new places and cultures, try new foods, and learn about Girl Scouting around the world--all while still enjoying swimming, boating, and horseback riding! Go Creative with us in the great outdoors! Girl Scouts will enjoy a wide array of science and art activities as well as traditional camp fun like cooking outside, hikes, games, and songs. Camp will include lots of opportunities to pick activities and choose your own fun. Want to come as a troop and stay in tents or be a PA or CIT? Your itinerary will take you to exotic islands such as Aruba, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Jamaica, and St. Thomas. While on board you'll enjoy wood-fired meals, swimming, arts and crafts, and a stroll on the deck. Plan a shore excursion for canoeing, archery, or hiking. Bon voyage! Hit the trail and explore the Wild West. Go ropin’ and lasso a couple critters. Join the grub slingers at the chuck wagon and you’ll be moppin’ your plate of campfire cooking. I reckon there’ll be crafts, friendships, and memories to last a coon's age. Optional overnight Friday. Those completing K-1 must be accompanied by an adult.
