    Ada Lovelace Day

    “By encouraging people to talk about the achievements of women whom they admire in science, technology, engineering and maths, we can create new role models for girls and women involved in these traditionally male-dominated areas.”

    Did you know the first computer programmer was a woman who lived in the 1800′s? That’s right, and her name was Ada Lovelace. Ada was one of many incredible women who have graced the earth with their astounding presence. Being Girl Scouts, we recognize the significance of today. Every day we strive to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Celebrate with us by thinking and talking about the many great achievements women have made and are making all across the world.
