“This story may seem like it’s about Komets broadcaster Bob Chase, but it’s really not.

It’s really about the 31 members of Girl Scout troops 20912 and 20521 from Croninger Elementary and all the hard work they have put in to honor Chase who is celebrating his 60th year calling Komets games.

For the last four years, members of the troops have been building elaborate structures to participate in The History Center’s Festival of Gingerbread. This year’s event started Wednesday with Lighting Night and continues through Dec. 9. The History Center is open Monday through Thursday and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.” – excerpt from the News Sentinel article At radio rinkside, it’s gingerbread: Girl Scouts honor Chase with creation
