The Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana recently partnered with Small Parts, Inc. of Logansport to celebrate Live United Day. The event, sponsored by the United Way of Cass County, was a tremendous success!
More than 25 volunteers from Small Parts, Inc. donated more than 120 hours of their time to help complete projects at Camp Wildwood and the Dunbar Service Center. These projects included the complete testing, organization and labeling of camp tents, organization and cleaning of the entire pavilion, the rebuilding of camp fire rings, painting the new program room (once the ScOutfitters Shop, which has been relocated within the Service Center), and a top to bottom cleaning of the Multi-Purpose Room, among others. Their assistance didn’t stop there! Small Parts, Inc. has volunteered, on their own time and with their own materials, to rebuild and stain five of our picnic tables, and completely rebuild the main fire ring with donated (by one of their employees) landscaping bricks!
GSNI-M is truly thankful to Small Parts, Inc., and the United Way of Cass County for this partnership. The event truly measured up to its name of LIVE UNITED!
