Explore the beauty of the world around you at McMillen STEM Day
Camp: Walk on the Wild Side! Investigate wildlife up close and
personal, observe patterns in nature, and experience what it’s like to
be an environmental engineer as you discover how to make sustainable
homes, recycled clothing, and beautiful pieces of art. Girls will also
get to participate in outdoor adventures like archery, low ropes,
nature hikes, the zip line, and the climbing wall in this day camp for
all nature lovers!
There will be an optional overnight
for girls on Thursday, June 23. The $10 add-on fee covers girls’
dinner on Thursday and breakfast on Friday. All campers will need to
pack lunches Monday-Thursday but we’ll provide lunch for all campers
on Friday.
Bussing will be available for a $15 add-on fee
Monday-Thursday AM. Bus stops will be at Menards on Illinois Road and
at Northrop High School. Bussing won’t be available Thursday afternoon
or Friday morning.
Early-bird ends March 25.

STEM Day Camp: Walk on the Wild Side!

Monday, June 20, 9 AM to Friday, June 24, 4 PM.
Girls who have completed Program Aide training or training for
Counselors-in-Training are invited to join us for McMillen STEM Day
Camp: Walk on the Wild Side! Share your skills, passions, and
experiences with younger Girl Scouts and improve your leadership
skills while working with younger campers as they experience camp
through hands-on activities.
There will be an optional
overnight for girls on Thursday, June 23! The $10 add-on fee covers

Girls will be teamed with younger girls to assist with and lead activities.
Prerequisites: Program Aides must earn Leadership in Action (LIA) and complete Program Aide (PA) training prior to camp. Counselors In Training (CIT) must attend a Counselor in Training workshop. Responsibilities will be assigned based on age and previous experience.
All girls interested in Program Aide (PA) or Counselors in Training (CIT) will need to complete an Experience Verification Form. Space is limited for these leadership opportunities. Applications will be reviewed and PA/CIT/WIT’s will be selected based on experience and form answers. Applicants will be notified of selection and will be sent a registration link for camp. The PA/CIT/WIT application is now open.
