Sharpen your outdoor knowledge during this volunteer training that focuses on: outdoor skills, fire building and safety, outdoor cooking, and providing a fun, safe outdoor experience for girls. Each troop is required to have someone trained in Outdoor Basics before the first camping, fire building, or outdoor cooking experience with your girls.

THIS TRAINING TAKES PLACE OUTDOORS SO PLEASE DRESS FOR THE WEATHER, INCLUDING NO OPEN-TOED SHOES.

What to bring:
Sunscreen and/or insect repellent depending on the weather
Dunk bag (optional) – a lightweight mesh bag which will hold your washed dishes and table service; a lingerie bag with a string works well. A limited number of dunk bags will be available to borrow if you don't have one handy.
Boilable plate, bowl, cup, and silverware
Water bottle
Camp chair (optional)
Adult Health History form (found on the GSNI-M website under Volunteers-Forms & Documents-Troop Management)
