4/29- An Important Update Regarding Summer Camp

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As of 3/19 all services centers, shops, and properties are closed and staff is working remotely. Please send questions to frontdesk@gsnim.org or use our Contact Us form. Since our offices are closed, we cannot answer calls.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are witnessing history as the world and our nation respond to the COVID-19 (coronavirus). Few countries, industries, states, and communities will remain untouched.

For some, this is a true short-term crisis. For those who are working on solutions, it is an opportunity for leadership. We must be active in managing our risks and ensuring our girls, volunteers, and staff stay safe while also keeping Girl Scouting vibrant and active.

GSNI-M continues to monitor the expansion of the coronavirus outbreak. Out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of our members and staff, GSNI-M is taking the proper precautions in regards to meetings and events. Find council sponsored event changes below.

Frankly, it is at times like these that they, and the world, need more Girl Scouting. Please share your stories of how girls/troops are using this time to earn badges and expand their skills, even if their schools are closed. You can post on Facebook or the Volunteer Scoop.

In the next few weeks, as more COVID-19 cases are reported, it is important to stay calm and prepared. GSNI-M will continue to be actively vigilant in keeping our girls, volunteers, and staff safe as we lead through this moment.

In our 108 years, we have weathered many challenges and come out stronger as an organization. This is our moment to show leadership to our girls, volunteers, staff, and communities.

We must be prepared to act, lead, and support what will be an unprecedented local, state, national, and even global response. We are leaders of courage, confidence, and character, and the world needs us to harness those qualities as we make our world a better, safer place.

Thank you for your leadership.

Sharon Pohly, CEO
