Calling all older girls!
The Program Aide (PA), Counselor-in-Training (CIT), and Wrangler-in-Training (WIT) programs give older girls the chance to be involved in leadership, problem-solving, and learning scenarios at our summer camps and programs.
What is a Counselor- In-Training (CIT)?
A Counselor-in-Training is a Girl Scout in 8th grade or older who is enthusiastic about leading programs during our summer camp. Whether guiding a dance class, sunset yoga, or any other engaging activity, the CIT program is tailored to bring out the leader in you.
What is a Wrangler-In-Training (WIT)?
A Wrangler-in-Training is a Girl Scout in 8th grade or older who is enthusiastic about leading equine programs during our summer camp. These girls have experience with horses and are eager to take on a leadership role, helping foster the excitement of our horse programs in younger campers.
Here's how to get started:
1) Earn your prerequisites. Complete the Leader in Action (LiA) award by helping a Brownie troop or group work on any of the three Leadership Journeys. The requirements for earning the Leader in Action award can be found in any Brownie Journey Leader guide.
2) Attend training. Our Program team will guide you through peer discussions and interactive activities to foster collaboration and empathy, culminating in a final lesson presentation showcasing your newfound skills.
3) Select your opportunity. Use our 2024 Summer Camp Guide to explore PA/CIT/WIT* options offered all summer long, ensuring you can get in on the fun no matter what your summer schedule looks like.
4) Express your interest. Please complete your verification form. Once approved, your link for camp registration will be sent. Please allow up to 5 business days for verification.
*Any Camp Logan CIT opportunities listed on our website or in our camp guide are also WIT opportunities. Please express interest in WIT on your verification form.
Girl Scouts who have completed their training, please fill out your verification form
as soon as possible. If you have not completed training, we're sorry,
but the window for Summer 2024 has closed. When we're ready for next
season, training opportunities will populate below. Complete your LiA
award now so you're ready to go!
