Safety Activity Checkpoints

Saftey Activity Checkpoints (SAC) is a resource that provides safety standards and guidelines for Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA)—approved activities.

The SAC includes:

  • Introduction - Key safety information to keep in mind for all activities. All volunteers should read and become familiar with the guidelines in the introduction.
  • Activities at a glance - Chart of all activities with information on which grade-levels can participate, required supervision, and whether or not GSNI-M approval is required.
  • Individual checkpoints - The checkpoints for an individual activity, such as swimming, will include information that is specific to that activity. These guidelines are in addition to the guidelines in the introduction.
