The Citizen Scientist
program allows Girl Scouts to become real scientists for the
afternoon! But instead of wearing lab coats, we explore and discover
the natural world using special tools and fun apps.
Becoming a Citizen Scientist is like being a science hero! Your work
helps scientists make significant discoveries and learn amazing things
about nature. It's like being a detective for the environment! Plus,
it's an excellent way to learn more about the world and participate in
exciting science projects.
All Girl Scouts will earn
their Think Like a Citizen Scientist Journey. A snack will be provided
during the program.
Special Instructions/Appropriate Attire:
- Close-toed shoes
- Warm clothes to go outside

This is not a drop-off event.
Parents and/or leaders are expected to provide supervision. ONE (1)
adult is required to chaperone their youth(s) at this event. All
troops and groups must follow the correct youth-to-adult ratio.
Registration Deadline: November 9, 2025
Registration Minimum: This event will be cancelled if we do not meet
the minimum registration of 15. You will be contacted and refunds will
be issued if this occurs.
Cancellation Statement:
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by the registration
deadline to receive a refund. Please email frontdesk@gsnim.org to cancel your registration.
Refunds are NOT given for cancellations received after the
registration deadline or for failing to attend the event.
Registrations may be transferred to another event if cancellation is
made PRIOR to the registration deadline. Refunds will be given if
GSNI-M must cancel a program.
