Ready to take your Girl Scout troop camping? Outdoor Level 2 training is designed for volunteers who want to lead overnight camping trips and cook with their troop over a campfire. In this hands-on session, you'll learn key outdoor skills like menu planning, campfire cooking with tools like pudgy pie irons and Dutch ovens, and how to prepare a troop camp box-plus much more to help you feel confident outdoors.

Before attending Outdoor Level 2, you must complete Outdoor Level 1: Teaching Campfire Safety. These two trainings can be taken on the same day (with separate registrations) or scheduled separately.

This training is for any registered volunteer who plans to attend a camping trip-not just troop leaders. You'll be cooking a meal as part of the training, so please note any food allergies when registering.

The session takes place outdoors, so dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.

What to bring:
* A filled water bottle (enough for the day, including lunch)
* Your Adult Health History form
* A mess kit and dunk bag (if you have them-don't worry if you don't!)
* Sunscreen, bug spray, and a hat, depending on the weather
* Optional: a camp chair for comfort

Prerequisites:
* Outdoor Level 1
* Trip Planning Basics on gsLearn

Event fee: $20 (Note: troop funds should pay for volunteer trainings whenever possible)
Length: 3-4 hours
