Sometimes students need another opportunity to practice a skill before it clicks. Full STEM Ahead helps schools give girls in grades K–5 that opportunity through hands-on, engaging STEM experiences designed to reinforce classroom learning, build skills, and strengthen confidence. And we don't expect your students to fit into a pre-designed program. Instead, we work with you to identify what your students need and customize an experience to support them. Full STEM Ahead is free to participating schools, and students do not need to be Girl Scout members.

You know your students best. Maybe your third graders could use more practice with measurement. Maybe a group of students needs another way to explore a challenging science concept. Maybe you're looking for an engaging STEM experience to complement classroom instruction, support intervention time, or make summer learning more meaningful. Whatever you're seeing in your classroom, start there. Full STEM Ahead can support a broad range of math, science, engineering, problem-solving, and STEM concepts. Our team works with educators to develop hands-on experiences that complement classroom instruction and align with relevant academic standards.
How it works:

Share the grade level, concepts or skills you're working on, number of students, and what you'd like students to gain from the experience.
2. We build the experience together.
Our team identifies activities and learning experiences that reinforce your goals while keeping students engaged.
3. We bring STEM to you.
Trained Girl Scout staff and content experts facilitate the programming, and program materials are provided.
4. Girls learn by doing.
Students experiment, build, test, problem-solve, collaborate, and discover new ways to apply what they're learning.
What could Full STEM Ahead look like at your school?
Designed to Work with
Your School
A Full STEM Ahead facilitator can typically provide direct programming for approximately 25 girls at a time.
Need to serve more students? We'll work with you to explore models such as classroom rotations and STEM stations. Larger experiences may require additional adult support from the school.
Programming can take place during the school day, after school, during intervention or enrichment periods, as part of summer programming, or during special STEM events.
The goal isn't to make your school fit our program. It's to build a program that fits your students.

Meet Malorie
Hello! I’m Malorie Wood, the STEM Facilitator at Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana.
With a bachelor’s degree in Earth Space Science Education, a teaching license, and a master’s in Physics Education underway, I’m passionate about helping girls discover just how exciting STEM can be. From exploring Earth science to building and programming robots, I love creating hands-on experiences that turn curiosity into confidence.
I’d love to bring Girl Scouts to your school and create a welcoming, hands-on space where girls can ask questions, try something new, solve problems, and discover the power within themselves through STEM. Let’s get exploring!
