Congratulations on a successful Girl Scout Product Program!
Girl Scout product sales are one of the most iconic activities Girl Scouts engage in. Through these programs, including the Fall Product Program and Girl Scout Cookie sale, Girl Scouts learn financial literacy and develop five leadership skills: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics – all while collaborating with their troop and having lots of fun.
Along with troop proceeds, Girl Scouts are eligible to receive additional rewards and incentives, including Council Cash.
Council Cash Guidelines
Expiration Date: All Council Cash expires on September 15 of the current membership year. Membership year runs from October 1 - September 30.
Usage:
- Council Cash is intended for individual use only and may only be redeemed by the recipient or their caregiver.
- Caregivers may provide written permission for a trusted adult (e.g., troop leader) to use Council Cash on their Girl Scout's behalf.
Where to Redeem Council Cash:
- Annual Membership Renewal: Valid starting April 1.
- GSNI-M Merchandise: Redeem at any GSNI-M Retail Shop, including traveling stores and camp Trading Posts.
- GSNI-M Camp Program Fees: Apply towards camp fees. Camp registration live February 1.
- GSNI-M Sponsored Events: Use as payment for events and council programs.
- GSUSA Travel Opportunities: GSNI-M will issue a check to the sponsoring organization after proof of admittance is provided. Visit gsusa.org for more details.
- Girlscoutshop.com Conversion: Email frontdesk@gsnim.org to convert Council Cash for use on girlscoutshop.com. Requests must be made by August 15.
Restrictions:
- Council Cash cannot be used to purchase GSNI-M Gift Cards.
